Charge your vehicle at home, faster and cheaper, integrated with your solar system. ALA Renovations installs Level 2 EV chargers for homes and businesses throughout Los Angeles. Every installation is permitted through LADBS, and we handle LADWP and SCE rebate coordination as part of the project.
Not every EV charger belongs in a Los Angeles home. The difference between charging levels is not a matter of preference; it is a matter of whether your car is ready when you are. Here is what each level actually delivers.
Every charger in our lineup is selected against three criteria: smart charging capability that works with time-of-use rates, compatibility with solar and battery storage, and eligibility for Los Angeles rebate programs.

LEVEL 2 · SMART · SOLAR-INTEGRATED
The fastest home charger for Tesla owners and compatible with all EVs.
Hardwired 240V installation delivers up to 44 miles of range per hour. WiFi-enabled with solar optimization, scheduled charging on off-peak LADWP and SCE rates, and full Powerwall integration.

LEVEL 2 · UNIVERSAL · SMART
The most capable universal Level 2 charger for all EV makes and models.
Compact hardwired unit delivers up to 11.5 kW, the maximum Level 2 output for residential installations. Works with every EV on the market via universal J1772 connector.

LEVEL 2 · SMART · SOLAR-INTEGRATED
The reliable solar-integrated charger for everyday home charging.
Level 2 unit delivering 32A / 7.7 kW on a dedicated 40A circuit, about 31 miles of range per hour. Integrates with the Enphase Energy System to charge on excess solar, managed through the Enphase App.

LEVEL 2 · SMART · SOLAR-INTEGRATED
Faster home charging with the same solar integration.
Level 2 unit delivering 40A / 9.6 kW on a dedicated 50A circuit, the maximum practical residential Level 2 speed - about 38 miles of range per hour. Same Enphase App control and excess-solar charging as the IQ 40, with higher output for larger-battery EVs.

A charger is only as capable as the panel behind it. This is where most EV charger installers stop short. At ALA Renovations, electrical, solar, and charger installation happen under the same project and the same license.
Electrical panel capacity, most Level 2 installations require available capacity on a 200A panel or a panel upgrade
Load calculation, we confirm your existing service can carry the charger before any work is scheduled
Solar and battery integration, chargers configured to draw from surplus solar or stored energy
LADBS permitting and utility coordination handled entirely in-house
We evaluate your electrical panel, available capacity, charger location, and distance from the panel. We run a full load calculation so we know before quoting whether your service supports the charger you want.
We match the charger to your vehicle, your driving pattern, and your existing solar or battery system. If your panel needs an upgrade, we scope that in the same project rather than discovering it mid-installation.
We prepare drawings and pull the LADBS permit, and we prepare your LADWP or SCE rebate paperwork alongside it. Your job is to approve the plan, ours is everything else.
Our licensed team runs the dedicated circuit, mounts and hardwires the unit, and commissions the charger to NEC standards. Every connection is tested before we leave the property.
We coordinate the city inspection, configure scheduled charging and solar integration, and submit your rebate documentation. You receive a working charger and a completed application, not a folder of forms.

Los Angeles has some of the strongest EV charger incentives in the country, and eligibility depends on your utility, your household, and your address. We confirm which programs apply to you during the assessment and handle the applications as part of your installation.
LADWP account holders on a residential rate plan may receive a rebate toward the purchase and installation of a qualifying Level 2 charger. Customers enrolled in Lifeline or EZ-SAVE qualify for a higher amount. An additional rebate is available for installing a dedicated EV time-of-use meter.
Southern California Edison offers rebates toward electrical panel upgrades needed to support a Level 2 charger. The program is limited to income-qualified households and residents of designated disadvantaged communities within SCE territory.
The federal Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit applied to qualifying residential installations placed in service on or before June 30, 2026. Federal eligibility has since closed for new installations, though LADWP and SCE programs remain available.
We install Level 2 EV chargers across the greater Los Angeles region, including:
All installations are permitted through LADBS. LADWP and SCE rebate coordination is included at no additional charge. If your property is within our service area, contact us to confirm availability and receive a no-obligation assessment.
A standard outlet was never designed to charge a car. A properly installed Level 2 charger, integrated with your solar system, means your vehicle is ready every morning and you are charging on the cheapest energy available to you. ALA Renovations handles the whole project: charger selection, load calculation, LADBS permitting, installation, and LADWP or SCE rebate coordination.
